Arsenal has placed on the table a contract worth £280,000 a week for star midfielder Mesut Ozil few days after manager Arsene Wenger sign a two year contract extension deal that will see him continue at the Emirates Stadium.
It is unsure whether Ozil who is rooting for a deal worth £350,000 a week will agree to Arsenal’s offer. Our source via The Sun’s Charlie Wyett however noted that the German International is “prepared to cut a deal” so as to continue to player for the Gunners.
The current state of Ozil’s contract spells uncertainty for the club with one year left in their star man’s deal and the player himself has previously been foot dragging in signing a new deal, as the case with teammate Alexis Sanchez.
Mesut was outstanding in the FA cup final against Chelsea but many criticize his lackluster disposition and accuses him of inconsistency in output which they think is one factor that resulted in Arsenal missing out on next season Champions League. Notwithstanding his talent and intelligence is high up there.
