Xabi Alonso plays final match of his highly decorated career on Saturday offering an assist to Arjen Robben for the first goal in the 4th minute of the game against Freiburg.

Philipp Lahm and reserve goalkeeper Tom Starke also started the game to play their final match of club football in a game that saw Bayern Munich recording 4-1 win over Freiburg at Alianz Arena to close the season.

The veteran midfielder was given a standing ovation when substituted in the 82th minute of the game for Franck Ribery.

Alonso won the last three Bundesliga titles,the German cup and German super cup in his three year stay at Bayern Munich.

The soccer star is a product of Real Sociedad before joining Liverpool in 2004 where he won the UEFA Champions League in the famous come back against Milan in 2005. He also won the English FA cup, UEFA Super cup and a Community Shield during his stay in England.

The 35 year old sign for Real Madrid in 2009 where he won a second Champions League and a La Liga title.

Xabi Alonso won the FIFA World Cup with Spain in 2010 and two European Championships in his 114 caps.
