Mesut Ozil reveals he is very happy at Arsenal and willing to sign a new contract but only if Arsene Wenger remains in-charge at the club beyond the Summer.
“I am very, very happy at Arsenal and have let the club know that I would be ready to sign a new contract. The fans want that I stay and now it is just down to the club.
The club knows that I am here most of all because of [Wenger]. He is the one who signed me and he is the one whose trust I have. The club also knows that I want to be clear what the manager is going to [in the future].”
This will come as good news to Gunners fans as the German International is one of the clubs’ important players.
However, there is a growing notion Wenger will finally exit the manager seat at the Emirates Stadium come the end of 2016-2017 season.
Le Professor, 67,has been pulling the trigger for the Gunners since 1996, but last won a Premier League Title in 2004 and the club may well be looking into the future without the renowned French tactician.
Ozil sounds really likely he will move if Arsenal fails to continue with Wenger.
The lack of contract extension so far from Ozil and another important player Alexis Sanchez is definitely giving Arsenal fans across the globe cause to worry.
